  1. My new favorite deck to play with. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Dec 2016

Where to start? Well, it arrived well packed in a padded envelope. Upon opening it, I must say that I am seriously impressed by the look, feel, and quality of this deck. It comes in a Bicycle Prestige box with the Penn and Teller logo on it and a cool cardboard sleeve with them on it. The tuck case matches the sleeve on one side. It is a USPCC deck, so no complaints there. It's also marked in a very simple and fun way and comes with a 14 of Spades along with three instructional cards for a few basic tricks. The cards handle incredibly well and have a great look to them. Since it is a USPCC deck, it of course has the air cushion finish and is just as good as any custom Bicycle decks that I already have. This is truly a must-have for any Penn and Teller fan or even just someone who wants a cool and unforgettable deck of cards.

  2. A Perfectly (Extra)Ordinary Deck of Cards..... 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Dec 2016

When speaking of Penn & Teller NOTHING is ever just ordinary. I was expecting a nice deck of cards, with perhaps instructions for a trick or two enclosed in the package.

This is a nice deck. The feel of the cards is great and make me wish I was more adept at handling them (which encourages me to practice diligently).

The enclosed tricks were a nice addition as is the secret of the deck itself. Overall a fun, and reasonably priced item which I can recommend without hesitation. These perfectly ordinary cards would make a wonderful gift for any close-up magician or Penn & Teller fan you know.

  3. Best Cards Ever 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Sep 2016

Other reviewers seem to be upset by what they get with these cards, but they're exactly as advertised and a very awesome set to either learn a couple of tricks or to have as a collector's item. I love the card box that they come in. Very classy.

  4. The Most Ordinary Deck of Cards in the World 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Jun 2016

I originally purchased an Ordinary Deck of Cards while at the Penn & Teller Theatre. Regrettably, it did not survive the trip home as it became water-damaged from the contents of a regular glass of water. All hope was lost--a normal and measured response--as it would be seemingly impossible to contrive another perfectly reasonable excuse to visit the Rio to replace them. And then, I discovered that the Penn & Teller website was selling them. (To be expected, I am sure.) And that they were now new and improved with a less water-permeable box?

My one concern is that there is the suggestion that the cards will help to make magic possible, that they are in someway "marked"? Perhaps my eyes are something less then ordinary, but I cannot see how this might be possible.

How like Penn & Teller to aim simultaneously for the face and just slightly over my head.

Kudos (not the granola snack, either).

  5. A Fun Deck! 5 Star Review

I bought one in Vegas a few years ago and recently bought two here. It's a great deck for tricks and comfortable to use for sleights!

  6. Not a stripper deck! :) 4 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Mar 2016

I bought this because one of the reviews said "it's just a stripper deck", and I don't have one of those.

It's a lot of things - in fact, nearly everything! - but it's not a stripper deck!

  7. Good Deck- One Drawback 4 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Mar 2016

It's a good deck deck of cards, printed on Bicycle Prestige stock and packaged the same way as the Prestige decks save for the logos of course.

Deck handles well, it's marked well. The deck I received wasn't a stripper deck, it was a one-way deck.

The only drawback to the deck is that it's a Penn & Teller deck. They are plastered all over the deck so people immediately think of magic tricks and trick decks.

I like the deck but if I use a marked deck I'll stick with a juiced deck. I did buy two decks and kept one sealed for my deck collection. Was pleasantly surprised that they used Prestige decks

  8. nice pack of cards 4 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Mar 2016

    Very nice quality
    Price too high
    1 pack is enough
I was expecting at least 20 tricks
Emberessing to say how much really is

  9. Beautifully made deck of cards! 5 Star Review

This latest version of the Ordinary Deck contains some nice improvements over the previous version. New markings and starter tricks and the packaging is top notch!

  10. AHH-CHOO!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Sep 2015

Obviously people are going to suspect something is up with these cards. Penn and Teller are pictured on the back and Teller is pointing to different suits on his tie for crying out loud. These are fun cards to goof around with but not for serious slight of hand stuff. If you have really stupid friends who say "bless you" to themselves when they sneeze, then you could probably do tricks for them without suspicion of this being a trick deck. The cards and packaging are awesome though. I bought two.
